It is it is hard to say. The update email that was sent out last week said that the plastics have not been approved yet. So if they reject the plastic proof then I doubt they will release in May. If the plastic proof is approved then it will take a week or two for production and maybe two more weeks or more for shipping/ packaging.

From Chris
Hey guys so as I’ve mentioned we are waiting on the plastic samples to sign off then bethesda have to sign off the final boxes, if that all goes to plan it’s end of may if not then there could be a delay - for example if we feel the t60 in the starter set needs a tweak to make it acceptable then that could add two weeks to delivery, if Bethesda’s approval team are away the week the samples arrive it adds time. If customs sits on the container longer than usual there’s a delay so we’re sticking to end of may till we know more as I don’t want to say oh it’s may this date then change again and again.

Will resin orders be effected if there is a delay with the plastics?

yes as the order still requires the contents of the plastic starter box (even if not the plastics).

Has a more exact date been pinned down yet?

Hmm...
The plastic Minis have just been proved so that production of them could start now. This propably means that the game will, with a lot of luck, be shipped from China in May... I guess release will be pushed back to somewhere around July. But I hope I'm wrong! Can't wait to play :)

@revengancedk
I'm pretty sure you can cancel orders if you feel that strongly about it.

I understand the frustration of waiting as well. I've ordered up more than you have, the Vault Tech Complete Bundle, Survivor's Starter Bundle, Brotherhood Starter Bundle, Super Mutant Starter Bundle (Yes, I know this means I'll have two, or even more of some of the "Unique" models, but I plan to give a friend a starter box and some of the uniques, and anything else I can't use will either go into my pile of miniatures to make customs with or go to people in my gaming group.), along with an extra scenic set, three extra robot core boxes, extra Wasteland Creatures boxes, and, . . . . I think you get the idea, needless to say, I've got quite a bit coming, and when we have that much money invested in things, it does tend to make people anxious (I know I am. I'm excited to the point of twitchy about when they will actually be arriving and am watching closely for a final release date to be announced.) I'm sure you'll be getting a nice Nuka Girl with your order(s) when the time comes. The Alien, while I'm very excited about getting my hands on hopefully several of these guys, are supposed to be the bonus for the phase two orders.

I actually have twin six year olds who have taken an interest in miniatures games. One of my fondest hopes is that my children will play the game with me. Even if your little one is going to cut heavily into your gaming time (I know mine did. But at the same time, having kids is wonderful. Share with them the things you love and when they start learning how to read and count, a whole world of possibilities opens up. I play Battletech with my boys fairly regular, teaches basic math AND allows me to share a game I love with them.) that doesn't mean you won't be able to play the game in the future.

Best of luck with your little one. Remember the fond memories you had with your own parents, and make sure to do those kinds of things with your children. As a proud parent of several little monsters of my own, I can honestly say that spending time with my kids, while sometimes frustrating, is also one of the most rewarding things I've had the privilege of doing in my life.

So with the updated time table I have a few questions. It said that US orders would ship directly to to the US from China. Does this shipping only apply to distributor and LGS or all US orders. If I ordered from you directly and my order ships from the UK will it be bulk shipped with other US orders or is it sent out as individual packages.

yes just distributor who are passing on to LGS, if you order from us it's shipped direct from us to you

revengancedk. Middle of nowhere, but on the off chance you or someone else lives in my neck of the woods, I'm a bit north of Sioux Falls SD. In the unlikely event that you're actually around where I'm at, let me know and I'll share an email with you and take it from there.

Its been great with my kids. We've been playing a bit of Battletech like I mentioned above. Also been trying to get them into Aliens vs Predator: The Hunt Begins (Wont let them watch the movies yet, so they don't really get into it like they probably would otherwise.), they enjoy Star Wars Miniatures and are just getting into X-Wing. Going to start them on Pathfinder this summer and I've still got to read the rules to see if they'll be up for Star Wars Legion. I'm lucky that I have a small group of people who I'm able to play with most weeks, gaming is my one vice. ;)
