Upcoming Releases

posted Jan 30, 2018 15:27:52 by SteveHanson
This year we're releasing a line of supplements to support the core rulebook, with new rules and in depth information about the Star Trek Galaxy. With three division supplements, and four quadrant sourcebooks there'll be something for players and Gamemasters alike in every release!

In Q2 we'll be launching:
Command Division supplementary rulebook - a resource for command and conn focused characters.
Beta Quadrant sourcebook - a guide to the Federation and its Beta Quadrant neighbours.
Both books will be available to pre-order in March from the Modiphius webstore.

In Q3 we'll be launching:
Operations Division supplementary rulebook - a resource for security and engineering focused characters.
Sciences Division supplementary rulebook - a resource for science and medicine focused characters.

And in Q4 we'll be launching:
Alpha Quadrant sourcebook - a guide to the Federation and its Alpha Quadrant neighbors.
Gamma Quadrant sourcebook - a guide to the Dominion in the Gamma Quadrant, through the Bajoran wormhole.

With the Delta Quadrant sourcebook to follow in 2019.

Keep hailing frequencies open for more announcements about when they will be available to pre-order!

More Miniatures Incoming
Our sculpting team has been hard at work over the last few months expanding the range of Star Trek Adventures miniatures. Over the course of the year, we'll be officially announcing and launching the following sets:
The Next Generation: Away Team - the perfect set of 10 player character miniatures, with male and female Andorians, Denobulans, Humans, Tellarites, and Vulcans in 2371 duty uniforms.
The Borg Collective - 5 male and 5 female Borg drones.
The Original Series: Landing Party - a set of 10 player character miniatures for Original Series era players, with male and female Andorians, Denobulans, Humans, Tellarites, and Vulcans in 2266 duty uniforms.
Iconic Villains - a set of 8 antagonists from the series and films, brought to life in 32mm scale resin.
Both the Next Generation: Away Team and Borg Collective will be part of the pre-order in March from the Modiphius webstore.

Six products this year. Yowza. That's averaging a product every other month! That's a pretty fast release schedule.
Especially when These Are the Voyages just started hitting stores...

Any word on the next set of deck tiles we'll see? I've been curious how the survey turned out.

A set of 8 antagonists. Hmm, my guess is:
Khan, Q, Lore, Dukat, The Borg Queen, Harry Mudd, and the Duras Sisters. Anyone else care to hazard a guess (or, better yet, would you care to release the official list :D)

Maybe Sela (Tasha Yars Daughter) and Kang, Kor and Koloth the three Dahar Masters...

Ooooh, I didn't think of Sela! She probably will be one of them. I think I'll trade her for Harry Mudd in my original guess lol! He just wasn't so much of a villain in TOS as he is in Discovery.

It'd be cool if there was a legendary warriors pack (or something like that) with Kor, Koloth, Kang and Kahless.

Not to deprive others but I hope the Antogonist set doesn't have Lore, The Borg Queen and Locutus as they were bonuses for Cube purchasers, and if they were included in a set, then the value of that set is less to those that bought a Cube.

I do think they should be released to all but as perhaps their own collection of 3.

I seem to remember one of the developers saying that they may release other sculpts of those characters, but that those in the Borg cube would be exclusive. I don't have the slightest idea which thread the quote would be in though.

The plan is to include the 3 baddies at some time but with a different sculpt. Patric is correct.

That is disappointing as, even though they are different sculpts, they are unique characters so there is no real benefit to having 2. It essentially increases the overall cost of that set if I am to get 3 "duplicates", albeit in different poses. I'll have to seriously weigh it up when we know what else is in the set.

Do we have page counts yet? Hardcover or softcover? I’m really just curious if these *big* accessories or a bunch of smaller ones...

Hardback if they are still planning on maintaining what they have stated in another thread.

I’m really exited to see the Borg, can you say weather or not they’ll be patterned off of the TNG Borg or the F.C./Voyager borg, or are we going to see a mix of both periods like the Romulan set?

I was also curious as to when we might be seeing any additional tiles up for preorder?

Borg are modelled on references from TNG, Voyager and First Contact.
Information about the tiles will be announced soon.

I'm very happy with the schedule. This is going to be a busy year for STA to say the least! I don't have a "wish list" per se. There's so much stuff I want to see in each of these books. The more tools as a GM that I can get the better. The more hard rules for the sciences the better (I really love that part of the core book). Ship designing, new talents, new tasks, new ship challenges, etc... you guys know there's a ton of Star Trek to draw from for this game. I want everything.

I'm excited to see what comes next down the line, they, be given us a really full schedule to keep us excited for the year ahead of us. I'm pleased to see that we'll getting some drones so that I can add them next to the Queen and Locutus in my collection. My only hope from here is that with John Carter and Fallout consuming the sculptor's bandwidth that these won't be the only minis we'll be seeing for Star Trek in the near future, I need some Starfleet crew in EVA suits as well!
