Shipping update

posted Oct 11, 2017 00:11:23 by SteveHanson
From Chris Birch

We're emailing all outstanding customers with an update - the factory has had some delays due to the frankfurt book fair (which is the equivalent of GenCon for gaming but on a gigantic worldwide scale) so production times have been shifting more than planned (some items went in to production later as previously explained due to approvals and that's caused us to get stuck in some of the chaos around the book fair). Anyway here's what we're emailing out so it's clear. This could still change - shipments are planned but there can still be delays (trucks are at a premium due to the fair) out of our control but we're emailing customers if anything changes to let them know.

BORG CUBES
Our factory has just notified us that they will be shipping the first batch of 90 Borg cubes to us this week. This means they’ll be ready to ship the week beginning Monday 16th October. After those first 90, the factory will send us the following 350 or so preorders in waves so that we can fulfil them as they come in over two weeks from Monday 16th. Orders will be fulfilled in order of purchase, so the first 90 orders will be sent out first, then the remaining cubes after that. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. These are limited, expensive items, and we’ve taken every effort to make sure they arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition.

BORG DRONES
Borg drone bundles have been completed by our factory and are being shipped to our warehouse, meaning we can fulfil orders. These are due to be shipped from our warehouse at the beginning of next week, from Monday 16th October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these orders can take around 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. These are limited, expensive items, and we’ve taken every effort to make sure they arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition.

STARTER BUNDLES AND TILE SETS
Gamemaster Screens have been printed by our factory and are being shipped to our warehouse. They are due in, by the end of this week and so we can begin fulfilment of these items from Monday 16th October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later.

THESE ARE THE VOYAGES
These Are The Voyages: Mission Compendium Volume 1 are being finished off by our factory in about a week and will be shipped to our warehouse the week of the 16th October, which means with shipment from Europe, stock will be checked in and prepared for dispatch from Monday 23rd October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. Any order that also contains These Are The Voyages, alongside Borg cubes, drones, and bundles, will be processed and dispatched from 23rd October as noted above.

Douglas, Keith, more shipments are going out this week. If you don't see anything by next week, let lloyd@modiphius.com know.

Just received an email that my stuff has shipped. Which would be awesome if it wasn't for the fact that I was told last week that it had shipped in relation to me inquiring about cancelling so I could pick up the books at my LGS. Can't help but feel lied to about that so I didn't cancel. At least now it's on its way and I know better than to order direct next time.

I have to admit I'm getting frustrated. I see Borg Cubes being delivered, but not my Starter Kit. I am willing to be patient a bit longer, giving a nod to the warehouse issue and Frankfurt book fare thing. If I don't see my kit soon, I am going to cancel my order. While i appreciate having a PDF copy of the core rulebook, I am not a fan of PDFs. I like actual books.

Be aware that you might not get an email when it ships. I didn't.

I understand delays. I understand things shipping out at different times and so cubes arrived before more basic orders. I lost faith when my LGS has the books before mine had shipped (I pre-orded in June) and I really lost faith when I was told my order had shipped last week. Not "it's shipping, or "I'm not sure, I can get back to you" but a clear and concise "Yes your order has shipped." from Lloyd. When I followed up to get the tracking number, no one could provide that.

Now today, a week later, I get an email from DHL dated November 13th. So it appears that my order had not shipped by the 7th (when I inquired) but as a result I didn't cancel since I thought it was on its way.

Got my shipment today. I only got the deck tiles and "These are the voyages...". However i ordered a drone bundle as well. No mention of the gm screen, rule book or anything else in the bundle being on backorder. No back order listing on the shipping invoice either

Also got the Deck Tiles & "These are the Voyages" today, but no Borg Cube. I'm sure it'll be in the last batch of Cubes sent out since I ordered late.

Chris, we mark a package as shipped when it's ready for DHL to pick it up. Its in a pile or a pallet ready to go. We don't handle it any further at that point. Once DHL picks it up and takes it to theur processing center, they gave to sort it, enter it into their computer system and then move it to ship. Sometimes email with tracking doesn't go out for an assortment of reasons. Often oyr systems date of shipment and DHLs date are not the same. We are sorry about any inconvienence this may cause you

Maybe someone of you can help me here in understanding how the shipments are going...
I'm one of the first 150 that ordered the Borg Cube and I have received an email last week from PacketPort that a shipment is on the way from UK to Italy with the carrier: Nexive Italia... but using the tracking number seems that nothing is on the way with that code...
Any ideas?
thanks in advance!

The first time I emailed Lloyd about my drone bundle - got a response that they would be shipped the first or second week of November.

I hadn't gotten a shipping notice and got optimistic from some of this thread so I emailed him again. His response was that they would be shipped by the end of NEXT week, which I would call the fourth week of November?

Steve if you're including drone bundles in your post about cube shaped stuff shipping this week, that'd be great. Even one week earlier might mean I can schedule a game before one of our players leaves for a long trip.

I deel like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes where he is waiting for that helicopter beanie and runs to his mailbox every day after school.

I didn't see any mention of this yet, I may be blind, but is there any news of when the GM Screens might get to retailers in the States?

I for one am highly disappointed in the poor service as it relates to the Star Trek line. Preordered my Starter Bundle over 4 months ago. I've emailed and called and all I ever get is that someone will look into your order or it will be shipping out next week. Always next week. Tired of excuses. Send the product or at least admit that you are not able to fill the requests.

Ideally things never should have ended up in stores until all the pre-orders had shipped. That's what irks me. I could have saved considerably on shipping and had my books weeks ago had I not pre-ordered.
