Shipping update

posted Oct 11, 2017 00:11:23 by SteveHanson
From Chris Birch

We're emailing all outstanding customers with an update - the factory has had some delays due to the frankfurt book fair (which is the equivalent of GenCon for gaming but on a gigantic worldwide scale) so production times have been shifting more than planned (some items went in to production later as previously explained due to approvals and that's caused us to get stuck in some of the chaos around the book fair). Anyway here's what we're emailing out so it's clear. This could still change - shipments are planned but there can still be delays (trucks are at a premium due to the fair) out of our control but we're emailing customers if anything changes to let them know.

BORG CUBES
Our factory has just notified us that they will be shipping the first batch of 90 Borg cubes to us this week. This means they’ll be ready to ship the week beginning Monday 16th October. After those first 90, the factory will send us the following 350 or so preorders in waves so that we can fulfil them as they come in over two weeks from Monday 16th. Orders will be fulfilled in order of purchase, so the first 90 orders will be sent out first, then the remaining cubes after that. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. These are limited, expensive items, and we’ve taken every effort to make sure they arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition.

BORG DRONES
Borg drone bundles have been completed by our factory and are being shipped to our warehouse, meaning we can fulfil orders. These are due to be shipped from our warehouse at the beginning of next week, from Monday 16th October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these orders can take around 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. These are limited, expensive items, and we’ve taken every effort to make sure they arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition.

STARTER BUNDLES AND TILE SETS
Gamemaster Screens have been printed by our factory and are being shipped to our warehouse. They are due in, by the end of this week and so we can begin fulfilment of these items from Monday 16th October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later.

THESE ARE THE VOYAGES
These Are The Voyages: Mission Compendium Volume 1 are being finished off by our factory in about a week and will be shipped to our warehouse the week of the 16th October, which means with shipment from Europe, stock will be checked in and prepared for dispatch from Monday 23rd October. Customers in the United States should be aware that delivery of these items can take 10 days. Tracking details are provided at the point of dispatching them in the UK, but the actual information will not be live until the packages are ready to go out of the country, around 48 hours later. Any order that also contains These Are The Voyages, alongside Borg cubes, drones, and bundles, will be processed and dispatched from 23rd October as noted above.

So I guess I can expect the miniatures I ordered from a German store next year?

Is the February date for USA stores specific to the cubes, or does that estimate include the miniatures by themselves as well?

SteveHanson said Nov 19, 2017 21:16:53
That's just for the cubes. The holdup on them is the company actually making the cubes.

We're trying to get merchandise to US shops before Christmas. Currently we're waiting on restocks of almost everything and then getting everything sorted, packaged and lided on a ship prior to December 6. If we fail in that, primarily due to the ship with our resupply being late, it will be early January before it gets to the stores.

I've received an email informing that my parcel is on the way send by PacketPort from Games Quest... if that's the borg drone (i've not an account nor have bought from this site) i've a question... i paid extra for my package to be delivered with DHL and they are sending the package using Correos, the state public service, cheap and bad and no home delivery service... so, that package is yours? and if so, what happened with my delivery option?

You're question would be best answered by Lloyd, who knows all about this. Please email it to lloyd@modiphius.com.

In my in-box today:
Dear Borg drones

I'm sorry to report that we've found a discrepancy of the contents inside the Borg drones bundles. Our manufacturer has unfortunately not packed the correct amount of dice into the Drone bundles, adding 3 d20s and 2 d6 Challenge Dice to each bundle. These quantities should be 6 d20s, and 12 d6 Challenge Dice.

We are deeply sorry, and are already taking steps to correct the issue.

The dice are currently being sent to our warehouse, and as soon as they have reached us, we will dispatch your Borg drone bundles. I estimate it will take no longer than 2 weeks to receive the dice, correct the issue, and dispatch your order. I'll be in touch with more information as I receive it, to keep you up to date with the correction we're making.

Rather frustrating that we were only told this today - in the middle of the week - when we were told Drones would be shipping out at the beginning of the week *and* they've been in the Modiphius warehouse since last week.

At this point, I'm looking at mid-December for my Drone to arrive. Potentially later since we're hitting the Christmas package rush...

That's very unfortunate since I was really looking forward to the challenge dice. Using d6s is a little bit annoying since the die results are not immediately obvious :)

Here’s a hack for Challenge Dice: the pips for 3 and 4 on a d6 can be converted to an X symbol with a marker, and the 5 and 6 pips to the letter E for Effect. I did this on some white dice before my CD arrived.

Was sent from the sam @ modiphius email, but the "from" line does say Lloyd.

@unkoala It's possible they sent a few out before realizing dice were missing.

@Shran I plan on suplementing with Fate/Fudge dice, slapping a sticker or something over two of the sides for Effect. Fate dice are cheaply available, so you can get a decent number.

Yea like people said. Email from Lloyd using Sam's email saying that things would be delayed yet again. Had to go for a walk after reading that before I responded. At the end of the day, as I put in my response, most people wouldn't realistically care of the dice got shipped later if it meant that the drone came in now. Me and my players have been using generic D6s and D20s. We could wait longer for dice. But a delay yet again for something as stupid as someone not knowing how to count to 12 dice? Really? Truly WOW. I just want my drone so I can pretend that the company doesn't exist. I am so angry I am tired.
