Weapons with packaged addons

posted Oct 10, 2017 00:53:47 by Patrik Björkman
Hey everyone. My group is currently in the midst of a campaign and we've been getting some assets to spend by now, so I've been reading through the equipment lists.

Reading through the weapons section and the descriptions thereof, I've been wondering what bits and pieces are actually included in the weapon that you aquire. For instance; Reading the description of the Capitol mainstay sniper rifle, the text and images clearly describe it as having and scope and supressor preequipped, even though the cost and restriction of these doesn't seem to be there. Looking at the Imperial equivalent, there are no mentions in the text about the rifle coming equipped with a scope though the image does suggest that, and possibly a suppressor aswell.

Wich way is it, are the addons to the weapons included (I'd think not personally, but who knows) and has these things been included in Qualities as some might suggest?

Also; I'd like to suggest that the faction dice have the faction mark moved from the 20 to the 1 instead, I think you'd want to be happy seeing your faction symbol pop up instead of it heralding a proper shafting incoming. :)

A lot of the benefit is covered by the range of the sniper rifles and Imperial is a lot less subtle when it comes to weapons. If it's in the description it's included in the baseline stats. A character could certainly upgrade a sniper rifle with a newer scope and buy a scope to gain its benefits. Note the Capitollian weapon is described as an augmented assault rifle.

Ah, 'course, I had to ask since there doesn't seem to be a price premium going on for rifles with addons and that the depictions doesn't necessarily match the text.

The text is the final say on what the item is. At least as far as the rulebook goes. The actual final say is always the Gamemaster.

I would like to suggest going over the weapons for an errata aswell, and maybe adding bold font for addons or having a small extra sentance clarifying what is on the riflesö
