FAQ

Resin & PVC Starter Sets
We've been getting a lot of questions about the previously announced PVC starter set so here's a few FAQ's.

Fallout: Wasteland Warfare is designed to appeal to wargamers and miniatures fans alike with it's high quality sculpts, however we realise not everyone wants to break out the glue and stick the arms on, no matter how easy we make it, or how cool the miniature looks after :-)

Q) Will both starter boxes include the same stuff?

We're planning two versions of the starter set, both will include all the same rules components - rules, dice, counters, cards. Each will include a different selection of miniatures - one in high quality resin, the other pre-assembled PVC figures. The PVC set will include more figures and as a result, a different set of scenarios.

Q) Will I have to buy the PVC starter set to get all the miniatures?

The PVC starter set will include figures that you can already get in resin. We're not forcing collectors to get this set so they have all the designs. However they will be identical scale so if you want to quickly expand your collection it will be a great way to do it at a very affordable price.

Q) When are they coming out?

The resin starter set is planned for the pre-order whilst the PVC set is planned for February/March

Q)Can I play it straight out of the box?

You can play the PVC starter set straight out of the box as the figures are pre-assembled - we even give you an introductory set of missions to learn the rules. The resin set will need a small amount of assembly but we're making this as easy as possible.

Q) How many players can you have?

Fallout: Wasteland Warfare is designed as a traditional player vs player miniatures game experience. However we're also including solo rules and a solo campaign so you can play on your own, or play co-op with a friend against the game.

Q) What do you do in the game?

It's a miniatures wargame so you'll be fighting each other's forces however we're also drawing on the video game experience so you'll be hacking terminals, searching Nuka Cola machines, rusted Sedans and Vault-Tec Containers either for loot or as part of narrative storylines. You'll be fighting against the wasteland itself as radiation, dust storms and grotesque creatures and robots try to take you down. You can play straight points (caps!) based battled or follow a campaign storyline and slowly evolve your crew with bonuses based on how you upgrade your settlement.

Q) Do I have to buy loads of expansions?

The base set should be enough for plenty of games - regardless of which one you buy, however each expansion will give you more characters or units, from different factions, plus new AI and Encounter cards that will enhance the experience. We'll be uploading free missions online to keep you entertained as well releasing bigger campaign boxed sets that give you lots of new features.

Q) when does the pre-order close?
A) The pre-order will close when we start shipping, which we're planning on doing in March 2018. A more precise date will be determined as we get closer.

Hmm. Resin is nice, but MORE MINIS is good, too. ;) I look forward to finding out which minis are in each version. Thanks for the update!

What has happened to the pre-order? It should have started in August and now it has vanished from the front page schedule... is it already that close that it was taken from that schedule, or was it pushed back because the game will not get it till the end of the year?

I don't think it is good that there are so little news these days, there should be much more contend and info now to get the hype train started!

The pre-order will start once everything (rules, future's accessories) is ready and approved. Fear not, everything will be good.

Does anyone know, what this Settlement Expansion Deck will include? Is it already the expanded Settlement and Campaign rules? I guess not, or?

What will be in the two player starter boxes? Dice, Miniatures, Rules, Token, Scenery?

Might be time to update the FAQ...

I was looking at the Preorder and was just about ready to pull the trigger...then I realized quite a few questions are left unanswered.

1. The 2 player starter set plainly says it will include the hardened PVC models. The "bundles" say multi-part 32mm resin models. BUT...they also say they "include" the two player starter set. My question is, if I drop the money on a bundle, am I getting the 2 player starter set models with it (hardened PVC), or the multi-part resin 2 player set (that is oddly labeled as "collectors") models? If it is the PVC that should be clearly stated in the bundle's description. I have to be honest and tell you, I would rather pay for the higher quality models out of the gate, but I am not going to purchase them as a separate add on.

2. Where is the Corvega model with the tires and removable door? I was set to pull the trigger on the scenary starter, until I noticed the Corvega model is complete.

3. How long will the presale last? There is quite a bit I would like to purchase, unfortunately I can't do it all in one order.

4. And last but not least..."Pre-order will be shipped in waves" How do we know what wave we are in?

Those are just some of the questions I have. #1 being of the utmost importance. There are 4 of us in a group, each buying a separate starter bundle is the plan. However, everyone had the exact same concern about being "stiffed" with the lower res PVC models, and then having the "option" to come out of pocket later to get the same models in resin. I think we would have all been happier if it was made a little more clear on the product descriptions, as it stands now it seems a bit deceptive.

1. The starter set, wherever it is nentioned, is PVC. To get the resin figs for the starter set you have to get the collectors set. In the larger packs it will tell you if it includes the resin figs.

2. The customizable Corvega will be a later release. We're in this for the long haul and don't want to give up all the good stuff at once.

3. Items will be available for presale right up to just before we start shipping them. Planning on March, no dates just yet.

Waves are first come first shipped. I don't have a lot of info on the waves just yet but the earlier you order the lower the wave.
