Question about Starbase 364

posted Jun 06, 2017 20:00:08 by AllenShock
Is it actually in the Narendra system or just named after it?

Named after it. The Shackleton Expanse is far from Federation and Klingon borders in the text from the packet, and Starbase 364 is the launch point to explore it.

Just got both Star Charts and the Stellar Cartography set so I was wondering about that :)

of course SB 364 won't be on those maps... probably a lot of others are not either.

I'd place it past the bit of Federation space on the other side of the Klingon Empire. Off past the region Veridian III is in.

So, if you look at the map, at least what is visible, you can see on the far right an orange hue above the box with miniatures, with empty space in the right top.

That orange hue is nowhere on the usual official maps such as this one:

Maybe that will be actually The Shackleton Expanse?

Have there been any images of SB 364 published yet?

Just talked to the Line Manager and both the Shakleton Expanse and Narenda station are on the map.

@Mark_Stone
Modiphius implied in the playtest material that this is Starbase 364

@SteveHanson
Thanks, then I definitely assume that the Shackleton Expanse is on the far right just under the miniatures box in the photo

There is a low res image of the map on the preorder site.

The Yellow zone on the far right is the Shackleton Expanse and I assume the one dot there is Starbase 364.

So, since Starbase 364 and the Shackleton Expanse are going to be major fixtures in the game, are we going to see a Station Book/Set? Something with the station layout and stats?

The starbase write up will be in the living campaign book but we might include it somewhere else.

The "living campaign book", would that be "These are the Voyages Volume 1", or something entirely different?

@mark, These are the voyages are an anthology of stand alone adventures. the living campaign book will be made up of the adventures that are part of our ongoing living campaign.
