Tell what you would like included in this game.

But never a man

Most people have already mentioned the things I'd love to see. But something I really enjoyed in fallout was the hacking mini game where you have to determine the proper string. Replicating it in the tabletop game is possible in 1 of 2 ways. 1 which requires at least 2 people, the other can be done solo.

For solo play, only way it can work is if you have a companion app for the game that handles these sort of things. Hacking doors, locked containers, robots.

For group play, it can be replicated with a double sided card. One person doing the hacking, the other person telling them how close they are, number of correct letters in their guess. 1 side has the thematic scrambled words / characters.

The other side, just has possible words to choose from on the back. It's a mini game, I'd like to see this in an official capacity but if resources don't permit, I will likely just do it myself.

Other than that. SPECIAL, VATS, Stealth mechanics, Perks, Quests, Settlement building, Survival (radiation, water, food, energy), Ammo (campaign play only), Rules for long form RPG campaigns and Rules for small skirmish combat focused games. AI cards for monsters, AI cards for every unit for when playing solo. Unique effects on weapons, so they're not all just redundant minor improvements on each other. I don't want to look at 2 weapons and the only thing that differentiates them is +1 dmg vs +2 dmg.

I had a thought about what I don't want to see.

I don't want to see the old Games Workshop approach to the game. I don't want to buy two starter sets, a rule book, a codex and a campaign book per faction. It would be nice to have a universal rule book that applies to all factions in regards to how unit types move and act with all the weapon and armour statistics included in it.

When I buy a faction expansion or starter however, take the Spartan Games approach and include laminated sheets with the statistics that are specific to that unit in the box. I would be loath to purchase shelves of books just to play the game.
Streamlining the amount of purchases required to play a game can only be beneficial because it greatly lowers the barrier
to entry.

I think the best possible thing to do would be to launch with a basic 2 player Starter Set with 30 to 35 units for around £99.99 that includes the full rule book and all the required statistical information with the units therein.
And beyond that, Faction Boxes with smaller "upgrade" boxes beneath that. If the idea of the game is for players to, quote, "build their own crew from a wide range of factions, allies and iconic characters from the Fallout series" then players should be able to gain access to the units that they want without needing to buy an excess of other units.

The mention of "Organized Play packs" being "available at launch" gives me hope that there will be a low barrier of entry, because out of all the games I've come across in recent years, this is by far the one I would like to see flourish. And you're only consigning the game to a niche corner of wargaming if you over-price and over-expand on the required materials to play.

Very much this. I hate having to buy huge amounts of starting stuff to be able to play a game. I don't mind the option but I hate being forced into it. It makes the barrier of entry high as well and makes it hard to get new players interested in the game.

Also, games are getting farther and farther away from this but there was a problem for a long time with having to constantly look through books for the stats of various models in a game. Please either have some form of card based stats or maybe an app that has the stats for your force on it. It cuts down on the looking stuff up and makes the game run a lot smoother.

Just to throw something off-the-wall in, I'd like to see a later supplement that merges in the factions and creatures from "Wasteland". :)

For that, I would direct you to this thread. Chris Birch has mentioned already that Factions can be mixed and matched to build crews. No mention of the inclusion of creatures in those crew however.

I wasn't talking about mixing Fallout factions and creatures in the same army though, I was joking about having factions and creatures from a different (though spiritually related) franchise. So the Desert Rangers, the cyborgs of Base Cochise, the Guardians of the Old Order, the Servants of the Mushroom Cloud, etc. Not that it wouldn't be to hard to represent many of these with actual Fallout factions of course...

I see! I misread, apologies. I interpreted your mention of Wasteland to mean the Wasteland from Fallout, not the game haha

This sounds like the cross between an RPG and a board game that my group has been looking for. We rarely have time for a full RPG session and most Co-Op board games don't have a robust system where you can level or upgrade your characters from one session to the next. Being able to play a game where we can come back to characters with upgrades, new gear, and perks sounds like just what we want.

I would be really really happy if we get big and beautiful full coloured world map. I have good spot on my wall for it.

I second the map idea, that would great hanging up. It would also be rad to have a PDF map we could download and print that would allow us to track our single/coop campaign.

I read in one of the interviews about a settlement system, so I hope we get a 'Settlement Pack' with some structures that let us do a settlement defense.

Some things I would really love to see in the Fallout Wasteland Warfare:

A few human miniatures with long overcoat/trenchcoat like those that the New California Rebulic Rangers had in the Fallout New Vegas, please. In the Fallout 4 at least some Scavengers have trenchcoats. And the Drifter Outfit is quite good too (the overcoat in that outfit is without leaves though). As a miniature collector and a fan of post-apoc games this springs to my mind first.

One other cool thing would be human miniature head-options with 1950`s-style hair, especially pompadours (Chris Walken, Monty Clift, you get the general idea). (But I think that might be given due to heavy influence of 1950`s aesthetics in Fallout universe.)

Also, other than human miniature options, a limousine, Fifties Chrysler in Fallout 4-style would be great, thanks! Take my money already! ;D

edit: Have the civilian miniatures been mentioned already? Not everyone holds a gun all the time, even in the post-apoc wasteland eh?

And I have to comment that the miniatures I have seen this far revealed of this game are awesome! Great detail! Really makes me want to collect them!

(Adding a pic of well-made trenchcoat minis for illustrate the idea)

Nothing screams Fallout so much as those two suits and T-45d.

i would have to say you are very Wronghere while the T-51B is a iconic piece of fallout history the T-45D is nothing short of a joke kinda like the T-60A or any power armour made by Bethesda
just someone who want's the best but always expects the worst

While completing the survey I forgot to add that an empty power armour would be nice, even though that can be made by sacrifing a BoS miniature. Or even a multi-part power armour (trooper) that could be turned a BoS soldier, Atom Cat etc. to one`s preferring.

@KostiKorhonen: I so hope Atom Cat power armor is part of the game somehow. It doesn't even need a different model. I just want an excuse to paint up power armor in the Atom Cats "hot rod" schemes. :D

@Jordan.Peacock: Indeed, mate! And, while the Red Rocket Truck Stop scenery piece confirmed, its pretty damn sure I convert one of them just for my Atom Cats -gang, the Atom Cats Garage!^^
