Response Action for "Increase Targets:" momentum spend for spells

posted Feb 13, 2017 09:26:52 by Yad
Hi,

I'm wondering about how to roll for reponse actions when Increase Targets are being used. Let's use an example:

PC uses Distortion Spell (D2) and get's 5 successes. Target NPC A rolls for Responce Action and gets 1 success. Using the updated opposed roll rule. The PC gets 5-2(D2)-1(Responce Action success)=3 momentum. PC then uses 1 momentum to "Increase targets" and targets another NPC, B. NPC B wants to roll for a Responce Action but how many successes will NPC B need to avoid the attack?

Treat it the same as additional targets from an Area attack - additional targets make a D2 test to avoid the attack (it can't be an opposed test for them, the attack roll's already been made).
