Just got Airfix Battles; I was wondering if the 1:32 scale figures from airfix would look weird on the maps..?

Most wouldn't fit in the squares.

Thanks for that, now had a chance to have a good look at the maps and so on! Airfix don't seem to have a very extensive range of 1:72 figures at the moment. Guess I'll look at other manufacturers..

I bought 1/72 Airfix, British Infantry and Paratroops and the same for Germans. More than enough, but a pain to paint them all. For tanks I went with Armourfast, the correct scale and cheaper at £8 for two.

1/72 scale is more or less 1!72 scale.

Airfix tanks are 1/76 scale and look small next to Armourfast. I use both if I need to make numbers up and it does look odd with a Sherman dwarfing a Tiger.

Examples of Airfix (foreground) with Armourfast Sherman and Deagostini Tiger. Also Airfix tank tracks are a hassle to fit.

Anyone use Trumpeter easy model vehicles? They're pre-painted, which is handy for a time limited person like me!

The Trumpeter models certainly look good, the only downside is the expense of filling a table with them. I tend to play tank heavy games with a bit of infantry support.

You could play with larger squares. See my earlier post in the forum on a 54mm game someone played.

Just use one model for a whole infantry squad?
