Don't ask when the broader playtest will be available; that's not my department.

I'm fine with waiting another week or three. I decided to do a short One Ring game until the playtest is announced. If we get accepted, I'm hoping to have some time to finish it before moving on to Trek.

Sweet, I've had people chomping at the bit for more info about the playtest. This at least gives me something to tell them so they'll stop badgering me for at least a few days.

Will sign ups still be by the end of August? Meaning are they happening today?

We're currently doing a little bit of internal testing to make sure the playtest pack is actually usable and to catch any glaring problems. The Modiphius Meetup on Tuesday had a couple of games run, and I'll be running a couple at Chimera in Nottingham on Saturday. It won't take long to get the initial feedback sorted and update for the first public pack, but I'm not in charge of the sign-up process or distributing to the public, so I can't give any specific dates about that.

Thank you for all you're doing on the forums Nathan, it's not often you see the developers so willing to get down into the nitty gritty with the players, it is greatly appreciated.

I got my start in the industry by posting fan material on forums (mainly the FFG ones, as I did a lot of stuff for the 40kRPGs) until I got spotted by one of the developers who offered me work. So, given my origins, I feel an obligation to remain involved in the community, to give back to the place I came from.

In exchange, I expect feedback and stories of games, so I can live vicariously through you all, 'cause writing games doesn't leave a huge amount of time for playing them.
