Am I wrong...or is the figure on page 112 (Chapter 10) THE SAME of the one on page 132 (chapter 5)?
They both show the same charging armoured knights against the same armoured infantry!
Given all the good artists you hired, I hope we'll get two different figures and not different details of the same one ...

The page numbering is off.

P.102 "(for example, Wounds for Vigor, or Trauma for Doom) Doom should be replace by resolve.
P.106 The Bandit vigor should be 6 and resolve too. In fact, many minion descriptions, (page 109 for example) don't count the expertise for the vigor calculation. For the Degenerate, it vigor sould be (9+3)/2 so 6 not 5.
P.112 All the doom spends should be in a single dot.

Only Nemesis NPCs and PCs should include skill expertise for Vigor and Resolve; the other types of NPCs use only the relevant attribute (halved for minions).

Conan's attributes are off in my opinion. Although he has legendary stats in a number of them, I'd say they are off.

Brawn should be 15, perhaps 13 when he was 14 years old breaking the neck of a bull, but definitely at a level not attainable by a starting character.

His awareness and intelligence should be swapped. His danger sense alone is legendary, his intelligence, not so much.

Personality should be lower. His command could still be high, but again, Conan was not known for his legendary personality.

I assuming the full version of chapter 10 will include more characters and more monsters / animals?

@Bluddworth - I'm in agreement. It's hard to put down stats for such a beloved character, but I'd definitely change up some stuff for my games. (Not that I'll probably ever have the PC's encounter Conan) I'd make his Brawn 14 (he never meets anyone stronger in the REH tales), his Personality lower (He was not really a great leader at this point, and very rough around the edges), and his Awareness higher (maybe a Personality/Awareness swap). Also, his Threaten attack is called "Amra's Roar", but he picked up the name Amra when a corsair on the Black Coast, and this depiction is prior to his meeting Belit. Finally, he's not listed as having the Ancient Bloodline Talent.

It's a little strange how some of the "Characters of Renown" have a string of Talents from chapter 3, and some don't have any.

Some Attributes don't seem based on much evidence from the stories, and feel like some are a bit too high, or all on an even spread. This makes them feel a little arbitrary. Valeria's 11 Intelligence as one example.

I think I'd have rather seen these characters as premade PC's, like Old Gorm from the Kickstarter update.

The rest of the chapter looks amazing, and I'm super happy with the included NPC's, beasts, etc. I can definitely see why a Bestiary is needed though, as many creatures are missing.

I like the different threat levels (nemesis etc...) and in general terms i like the number of opponents & creatures presented.
And I know that you tried to put what is purer REH material.

By the way I would have liked horse and dog breeds, just to add colour, but I know that horse brees are not detailed in REH stories...., do we have any chance to see different horse breeds in the bestiary sourcebook?
I know this is not something purely REH but can be created from cultural equivalents (e.g. Arabian horses =Shemite horses, etc...). Having them could be fun to better define different countries.
I think also that smilodons, mammuts and other Ice Age creatures would be appreciated by many people.
Hope the bestiary will satisfy me!

I can see Conan having a Personality of 14..he's described as having a animal magnetism, even as a young man. Part of his Atlantean heritage..

@Allen - In a sense I agree, but that is exactly what the Ancient Bloodline Talent was described as representing, so at this point I'd lower Personality a bit and make a note of Ancient Bloodline.
He does eventually have a higher Personality and Social skills, once he learns to lead.

Also, the human max for anything is 14, so there's no way Conan could ever have a Brawn of 15. Conan is still human, after all.

@Luca-They've said they will have region specific horse breeds in the various Conan The ... sourcebooks.

You have a smilodon in the Encounters chapter now. It's called a Tiger, Saber-Toothed..

@David- You have a point with Ancient Bloodline..

Under Nemesis p99 the last paragraph mentions spending Doom to gain a Luck point. Should be Fortune.

Under Horror p99 it mentions varying difficulties for Summoning would be called out in the stat block but I haven't noticed any.

Under Fast Recovery p102 it says:
A creature with Fast Recovery may also spend Doom to remove Harms associated with that damage capacity (for example, Wounds for Vigor, or Trauma for Doom)

Should say Trauma for Resolve.
