I'm struggling to figure out how one would create alternate animal species as PC's. I'm trying to do a "Boar" character.
Suggestions? Are there any rules already home brewed for creating alternates?

I'd give boar characters the choice of; Antlers (call it Tusks), Burrower (bit of a stretch bu they do root for tubers. And a quick check of wikipedia reveals that warthogs are great diggers so let's throw them in!), Fleet Footed, Furry, Warning Call. Huge could be added too, if you're looking for big bruiser-types.
There definitely needs to be a power for Tusks/Horns, but Antlers will probably work for now. Since they're omnivores and they have sharp tusks and hooves, I'd consider giving them Predator. They also have a keen sense of smell, so maybe Hunter's Instinct? I'd also say give them Herbivore, Fleet-Footed, and maybe Natural Armor. Obviously, make Strength their primary stat.
As I am an Aussie, I plan on creating some Australian native animals for the players to choose. Kangaroo, Tassie Devil, Goanna, Bilby, Buffalo etc. I am wrapping up an M:Y0 campaign right now, so will get into it after. I am happy to share for anyone else keen.
What I need to consider through, is whether the Aussie animals will replace some of the existing tribes, or will be additional to the other tribes. I am thinking of replacing the animals that don't exist in Australia, eg Badger which a Tassie Devil would be a good replacement for.
