MG section

posted Jun 15, 2016 19:40:29 by Mark Furnell
Does a full strength MG section shoot with 4 dice per MG (so the Axis MG section rolls 8 dice) or just four.

Four dice for two MG34s seems a little low.

Cheers,

I did. There's a lot of debate right now between the folks that wrote the rules. I want to get a definitive andwer, which I thought I had, before I post it here.

Looking a little more, I notice that the tanks with an MG roll 4 dice, so to my mind, you should roll 8 dice if you have two MGs on the board.

I'd expect it to be reduced if the loader got killed as well, but I think that's too granular for this version of the game.

I'm going to play with 8 dice, (or 4 if one MG is a casualty) and see how I get on.

Cheers,

We have it nailed down. Each machingun section has 4 dice. As long as you have one soldier to operate it (this covers any crew served weapon, mortars, anti tank guns, etc), you may do so. So two soldiers with machine guns are 8 dice, one soldier is 4 dice.
