What Airfield kits should I be buying?

posted Apr 19, 2016 01:04:30 by Robert T. Best
I have my Battles pre-ordered and while I wait for it to arrive I was thinking about picking up some Airfield kits, moving up to actual models for everything. I just don't know where to start, I'm not that familiar with the range and any pointers would be great.

The scale currently is 1/72 scale, so anything in that scale should work.

German infantry, American infantry, (a box of each should just cover it) three Shermans, one Panzer IV and a Tiger will get you through the first three scenarios.

You need a fair few Riflemen, for the Germans some with assault rifles helps. It really depends if you're happy to use any model or you want to represent each man with the correct weapon.

I use a mix of Airfix, Esci, Italeri, Armourfast and Revell - but then I've been collecting 1:72 plastics for years!

That's great guys, thanks. I ordered a Panzer, a Sherman Mk4, a box of US Paras and some German Infantry. I rather the idea of having the correct models.

The main thing for me is having at least something to get started with minis.
