'Tithed' in the Dark Symmetry Era

I've recently created a Bauhaus character from House Luther, and as such I am compelled to be Tithed to the Brotherhood. Our campaign is taking place in the early Dark Symmetry era. I haven't noticed any sort of time restriction on the ability but I could be wrong. Is there a specific ruling on this or is just GM discretion?
