Missing and unclear Rules

posted Mar 07, 2016 15:34:45 by Cpt.IvanDrago

-Smoke Launchers, nearly every vehicle got them, but there are no rules.
-Where're the damage stats for the AXIS Schwerer Flammenwerfer, Schwerer Laser-Kanone and VK 7,5 cm L/70 Zwei ?
-According to the Combat Rules Arillery (A) Range Weapons have a range increment of 36meters but every weapon seems to have his own entry e.g. Petard Mortar Range A (25). Which one is correct?
-Do Spray Weapons always have an Area Effect of 3 meters like the Grenade from the example in the Combat Rules Section, if not where are the individual stats?
-The Weapon Cost in the Tables aren't really balanced e.g.the ALLIED Quad .50 Cal Victory MG has superior stats than the SSU Quad DshK 12.7mm but both cost the same. Is this intentionally to demonstrate that SSU technology is inferior? If so, than the whole point based GIZMOTEER System doesn't work.
-Does a Mech Driver gets his Walker issued or must he purchase it through Gizmo Points?
- Tracked Vehicles should have a more sturdy Movement System than Walkers, Walkers on the other hand should have it easier to traverse some Terrain Types.

I have contacted one of the authors of the book and have him working on it. It may take a little time though. These are all valid questions and I couldn't find the answers in my book and PDF.

Any Answers to these?

Still no news on the missing rules and/or clarifications? I would be really disappointed if this fell off the grid.

I'm still nagging the writers about a good FAQ and errata. In fact I hassled then yesterday about it. They have to complete the Acting! Cthulhu crossover that was promised to folks who bought the preorder and then they're on it. They're getting G tired of me I think.

That's kinda disappointing. I guess it's probably not looking good at this point at a revised edition rulebook that includes all the errata and a fix for the entire chapter that was misaligned by the printer (the PDF does not have this problem. Also an addressment of the fact that there are sadly few options for running an axis campaign as most of the class/background options are allied only (yes, they do say "that doesn't really matter" in the rulebook, but then why have faction requirements at all?)

Also rules for a player or GM to create their own weapons (such as Yula Korlitz' "Kruger" from Tannhauser).

I know they have a bunch of other projects that they are working on now, but that concerns me greatly as to whether or not they will all receive the same treatment that Dust Adventures has gotten. Kickstarted, printed, then seemingly abandoned.

Dust Adventures did not get the benefit of a Kickstarter. Once we sell out the first printing we will use the current corrected PDF file to print from which will improve things quite a bit. Rest assured, they are getting tired of me bagging them about an errata.

My mistake. I must have been thinking of the pre-order...

It's cool. I was lobbying for a Kickstarter, but they decided not to because the Dust Tactics Operation Babylon Kickstarter fiasco was still fresh.

I just started DMing a group. One of my players wanted to build a stealthy assassin character. The stealthy gear (especially the guns) have a lot of good flavor text but no stats in the weapons table. As of now, I am homebrewing the stats for them but has any official data been posted on them?

We are currently working on an errata and FAQ to clarify rules and fix missing ones. I'll add your question to the list presented to the Dust Adventures boss.
