Fragged Where?

posted Jan 06, 2016 23:35:58 by DaveThompson
I'm sure I must have missed something but where did Fragged Empires sneak in from?

Is there any chance of some kind of sneak peak so people can get a feel for it before splashing out £40?

Fragged Empire was written by Wade Dyer of Design Ministrie, a seoerate comoany that Modiphius is distributing for. They actually had a very successful Kickstarter recently. You can get more information about the rules and the setting at http://fraggedempire.com.

Steve,

This shop entry:

Fragged Empire: Antagonist Archive 1 - PDF

Claims that there is a physical book available but seems to lead to a dead link? Any ideas (I can't find the physical book in the shop either)?

We are sold out of the hard copy of that book. It should still be available at other merchants. If you buy a copy from somewhere else, send us a digital copy if your receipt, and well hook you up with the PDF for free.

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for your reply - I have since purchased a copy of the book,

What I cannot find is an email address for Modiphius?

The website includes a form, but I need to forward the receipt which I don't seem able to do with your form (I can attach a file, but the receipt is part of an email, not an external file)?

Fragged Empire is perhaps one of the BEST post-post-apocalypse Sci-fi games I have played. Am I'm not saying that because I've helped then out. Wade Dyer is an awesome guy to work with. There are several books available: Fragged Empire Core Rulebook, Antagonist Archive Volume 1, Protagonist Archive Volume 1, a screen, custom dice, a Reference Book that collects all the traits and such from all current books, and roughly four or five adventures. There are no humans, who experienced their Singularity and then died off from genetic erosion. You get to play the created races made by the humans' successor race, the Archons. These beings went on developing new types of life and then grew quickly bored of them and went on creating something else. Eventually they created beings known as the X'ion. They pronounced these unknown beings as the epitome of perfection. However, they quickly devolved into squabbling about what was perfect and then slaughtered twelve of the thirteen X'ion. The last one escaped and returned with a nasty genetic army (they kind of reminds me of Tyranids from Warhammer 40k), with biological-based tech, living ships, living ammunition, and destroyed every living Archon. Once the last one was killed, the X'ion fled, abandoning its army. Now it's 130 years since the war began and your characters can be anything such as explorers, help rebuild civilization, explore new systems and sectors, or face a great menace that threatens to tear apart what has been built - the Mechonids.

It's an easy system that rewards good thinking, role-playing, teamwork, and tactics. If you have any questions about the game I'd be happy to help you and answer them.
