Hey, a new Mindjammer-forum!
Is this the place to ask about Chronicles of Future Earth? How is it coming along?
I'm not always right!

Hi Amazing Onion Man!
Thanks for asking about the Chronicles of Future Earth. :) It's been an interesting year! Right now with the changes at Chaosium we're taking a view on what system we're going to release the game for and will be working that out shortly. Most importantly, we've had a delay due to the fiction part of Chronicles (there's a trilogy of novels) being with publishers at the moment, we're waiting to hear how that goes before moving ahead with the game.
On the plus side, I'm optimistic that 2016 will sort all this out! The project is still definitely a "go" - thanks very much for bearing with us!
Well, for what it's worth, the original was pretty brilliant. When you announced it for RQ6 you at least upped my anticipitaton.
Here is hoping you sort it out.
I'm not always right!

Hi Amazing Onion Man,
Really glad you enjoyed it! The new Chronicles is already so much bigger - gazetteers of the whole Autocracy, the introductory campaign focussing on southern Hivernium (as far north as Amadorad), the Yurazi coast, and Kados, and lots and lots of setting detail. I'm really looking forward to it seeing the light of day. :)
I'm also really looking forward to COFE (as mentioned on g+). The BRP book is cool, but it feels like just scratching the surface ... I took some of it as inspiration for my ongoing Numenera campaign, but I would much rather have a full-fledged, RQ6 (or whatever it will be called in the future)-based Chronicles - the setting just seems more consistent at its core. Also, I kind of developed an itch to try out a more simulationist system again, like Design Mechanism's RQ6.
Good luck with the novel trilogy, btw. - I really enjoyed the Mindjammer novel (and I'm kind of sad that I can't sell it in my bookshop, since I can't get it through our US retailer - is there still a print version, anyway?).

Thanks very much indeed, Jakob! At the moment the rebranded RQ6 system is still a possibility for Chronicles, but we're considering other options too. Either way it will be on the simulationist side, but also be packed with action-packed hooks and tons of things to do.
Thanks too for the best wishes on the fiction! I'm looking forward to completing the Mindjammer short story collection - it's going to be great fun to tell the Venu story. Regarding the Mindjammer novel, while we don't have our own print version available via the webstore, you can actually get physical print copies via Amazon - I hope that works for you!
I really hope it ends up as RQ6 (under whatever new name). It's my most anticipated RPG project at the moment (until some word on Interplanetary surfaces) and that's the system I'd be using anyway, but it saves having to convert from... whatever.
It's always frustrating reading about such vagueries from the outside... wondering why Chaosium's contortions would move it to a different system. But of course my concerns are purely selfish.
Looking forward to this to. I will haft to +1 to being written for TDM's RQ6. It is the best simulationist system I have ever used. Ill buy it what ever form it comes out in, jest will haft to convert it:-). And good luck on the rest of the kickstarter.
I, too, have been waiting for CoFE to be released using TDM's RQ6 system. Please stay with that course! It is a stable, versatile, tested system.
I loved your Mindjammer novel, backed Thunderbirds, am backing your current Mindjammer Kickstarter, and am looking forward to your CoFE fiction.

Thanks very much for all the encouragement, everyone - and of course the well-wishing for these last few days of the Mindjammer Kickstarter!
We're actively talking about the system for Chronicles right now. There are a few things that need to be resolved before we'd be able to move ahead with RQ6-as-was, but it's definitely one of our two main candidates. I'll be sure to announce as soon as anything's pinned down!
