Explosives

posted Oct 27, 2015 11:45:17 by Marcin.Skupnik
I was looking around and couldn't find any mention on how to handle placed explosives in MC.
The mechanics skill talks about placing explosives and how momentum can increase its damage. But after that the book is blank, no stats for placed explosives, only for grenades and launchers.
What gives? Are placed explosives planned for another book? Were they cut from the main book? What about mines?

PS: While looking at the rules I also realized that it would be hard to portray explosives like Semtex or RDX with the Blast quality, spending momentum on a 1-for-1 basis for extra targets makes no sense.

The belongings chapter was originally about twice the size of the one in the final rulebook. Explosives were in the cut material - we simply didn't have enough space for everything.

We're determined not to let cut material go to waste, so it'll reappear in another book.

That's what I feared. Will it appear in one of the Kickstarter funded books?

That's the plan. We're currently working out way through the rules for the Wave 2 books, so there are a number of places where explosives rules could go.
