Fall of Von Holle

posted Apr 20, 2015 18:30:42 by ChristofferLundberg
Has anybody here got a chance to try out the Fall of Von Holle adventure yet? If so, did you add any encounters to it? We are about to play it, and I'll be adding one more encounter:

A Brotherhood dude is standing on the sidewalk, shouting that the coming darkness will devour the souls of those who do not follow the light. A couple of angry mobsters (easy NPCs) attempt to kill him, angered by his words. If the PCs save him, they will gain a useful contact later on.

Many of the sensitive proto-mystics have lost more than a few marbles during the time of Von Hölle, so if they don't save the first one they might get another chance, yes?
Maybe they'll go out of their way to -avoid- getting cornered by a street preacher raving about encroaching darkness, eternal voids of utter terror and the doom of all?
I'm not always right!

Hmm, not sure if I remember correctly but is the Fall of Von Hölle adventure the first of a trilogy?

It's not part of a trilogy as far as I'm aware. Fall of Von Hölle is an immediate follow-up to Straffar Gatan 39. The Dark Symmetry Campaign book - the other official adventure set during the Dark Symmetry era - is set decades later, during the height of the First Dark Legion War.

So, if that is the case, then Brotherhood and Doomtrooper PCs are an option for the Dark Symmetry campaign? Also, does that campaign still tie in to Luna PD?

Doomtroopers and the Brotherhood exist by the time the Dark Symmetry campaign begins, yes, but I'd not recommend them - neither organisation is particularly widespread or established by that point. Doomtroopers characters would be amongst the very first Doomtroopers ever (and likely quite busy fighting the First Dark Legion War as a result), while the Brotherhood is only a few decades old and most of its institutions aren't fully-formed yet.

The Brotherhood sourcebook (also in Wave 1) contains a chapter that focusses on Brotherhood characters for the Dark Symmetry era.

Parts of the Dark Symmetry campaign do heavily involve Luna PD, yes.

For obvious reasons, I'm not going to go into detail about the campaign... I don't want to spoil it for people.
