If you have general questions for us please try to ask here and we'll keep the other threads focused where possible. There will be a thread for discussion of the Alpha and Beta tests as we release them.

Please be patient - we have a LOT of Infinity communities we are posting in and answering questions.

Hi, I want to pre-order... buy I prefer by far to buy the book in my own languaje (spanish, i've read it's going to get traduced) is there any hope for those (like me) who want the book in his own languaje but dont want to miss the pre-order advantages?

(Ive got the same trouble with the Kickstarter :'( )

We are looking at whether we can do a pre-order in spanish as well but Corvus Belli will need to be involved more heavily here and it's a lot of work. Producing a translation is almost as much work as producing the original book and usually we would work with a partner publisher to handle all of that and take the risk as well. So we'll do our best :-)

What is the current estimate for a release? The original announcement mentioned preorders in Q1, is this still the plan?

@Costi we're probably looking at Q2 being realistic, we don't want to rush the release and so will be focusing on more playtesting whilst the background writing and campaign writing is being done.

Don't know where that belongs, so I'm posting it here.
A few days ago in an update on the page, it was said, that there is a book in the works with rules for playing defected Morats and Shasvastii. Defected Morats, really? I don't think you'll get that past Gutier. I actually hope you don't. Defecting (especially for Sorats) is the most un-Morat thing there is. I don't think they could even consider that. Just read the N3 books part on Morats again and you'll see that this is quite the stretch.
Shasvastii on the other hand. I guess a small group of them could switch sides when they think there is a chance that the EI will lose to Men an Tohaa. But even then they probably would not actively fight other Shasvastii.
But Morats can't defect. In the very same way they can't surrender. Just read the anthropic error part in Paradiso again. And Morat are not Klingon. There is no code of honor and no personal honor to a Morat. They obey their individual group/regiment. And all achievements are then attributed to that unit. So how can a single Morat fight against Morats alongside Humans? I just don't see that.

Development is happening. Not much more to say than that. Writing games takes time.

Yesterday for some reason I thought about military orders, Reverend Moiras, morats, and other religious troops in Infinity.

Will the game have some approximation of Religious special rule? Maybe some bonus to resist mental influence or fear. Analogous to Brotherhood characters in MC having a higher soak vs corruption.

Will there be rules for suppressive fire? I know MC has covering fire, but, at least for me, it does not feel the same. Something that can suppress multiple targets in a zone would be nice.

It's entirely possible - character specifics isn't something I'm personally looking at right at the moment.

Will there be rules for suppressive fire? I know MC has covering fire, but, at least for me, it does not feel the same. Something that can suppress multiple targets in a zone would be nice.

There's an innate option to increase the difficulty of enemy tests by spending Momentum.

The Beta version of the rules included an option for using firearms to inflict mental damage as a form of suppressive fire.

Another question about characters.

I know you said you are working on the core mechanics for now, but maybe you thought about it already.

Character generation. Will it be the same as Mutant Chronicles? Will there be differences?

Also, Iconic Careers in MC, albeit very flavorful in description, are not that "Iconic" mechanics-wise. Did you consider adding a special ability to Iconic Careers that only this IC (or subgroup of ICs) has?

Mutant Chronicles has some really nice maps of cities, planets, whatnot. Are there plans for similar maps for Infinity?

Curious is the equipment chapter is going to have rules for things like Cybernetics. I'm basically unfamiliar with Infinity but what I've seen seems to show Cybernetic-like items, and I'd like to know for sure since I plan on using the game for a more generic Cyberpunk setting.

Also, any news about when we'll have trait descriptions?

What is the max incidental damage you can have? For instance you could easily have over 16 vigor in the character creation for instance.
