Glad to see this in the works. Just a little question, to make things clear : is this a continuation of what has already been published in Dust Chronicles or a whole new thing?

Hi Stefan, it's a whole new product, however Christopher the writer of the piece published in Dust Chronicles is involved in the team :-)

Is this going to be a hack of D20 and SRD mechanics or a completely new system from the ground up?

@Battlebrotherbob it will be a new system, but we'll be using the Dust dice and some cross-over mechanics

Nice! I was actually converting the universe to the Savage Worlds RPG, but now have the chance to playtest this .

Interesting. I signed up for the playtest also. Been playing since 77 and always felt there was a lack of WW2 RPGs out there. Such a huge conflict and nobody can think of something to do in it. This will feed many an itch for me.

I agree there has been several attempts over the years. Don't forget GURPS WW2, Or a real throw back that right now I cant think of the system name. Think it was a FGU product. First module was a hack of The Guns of Navarrone. I guess I was saying none of them had very much traction to make more than a splash upon release and then die out in a year or two. With the Dust name it should be much longer lived than most.

Are you going to go the universal system route, i.e. use the same system for all of your games with a slight twist perhaps to each? Or is this going to be completely different from your other games?

Yes we plan plenty of support and integration with the miniature games.

@Wraith808 at the moment it's a dedicated system to DUST Adventures which ties in with 'some' of the Dust Tactics mechanics and dice, whilst Mutant Chronicles will be a separate system.

Ok... just wondering :) One of the hardest things about getting people to try new things is learning a new system. A new background isn't so bad, and can be a cool selling point. But unfortunately, with most people, a new system is a harder sell. :(

For those familiar with Dust Tactics and Warfare, it will be most welcome to have some crossover in mechanics! And I think it's great that it will use the same dice. Really makes all the Dust games feel like a cohesive set.

It will be more familiar to players of Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare as a lot of the concepts will be similar

Also, if the plan is that you can mix up the roleplaying with Dust Tactics/Warfare campaigns and missions, the crossover of rules mechanics will make the switching back and forth easier, and if your RPG stats carry over into your DT/DW game, then having the systems be similar will of course make that much more doable.
